The interview is a time for the company to get to know the applicant and for the applicant to check the actual job. The questions below are a way to prepare to bridge the gap between notice and contract. For official information on employment eligibility and working conditions, refer to the Seoul Metropolitan Government's employment preparation materials and the Ministry of Employment and Labor's materials, and check with the company for individual employment conditions.
Questions to check your work
Ask realistic questions such as “What do you do most of the time in a day?”, “Who trains you initially?”, “Do you work in other locations?” If you need to handle phone calls or documents in Korean, also check the frequency and level of need. Rather than answering that you can do everything you don't know, it is better to distinguish between experience and what you need to learn.
Time and Cost Questions
Check commuting times, break times, how to change work schedules, and pay dates. If there is accommodation, meal, and transportation support, ask if it is free or at your own expense. If you have been informed of a probationary period, write down the period, tasks, and salary conditions. Ambiguous expressions are double-checked with specific examples.
Clean up after interview
Write down the conditions you have heard and the questions you have not yet received answers to. Even if you are notified that you have been accepted, we will check the necessary residence procedures and contract details before starting work. When comparing locations, it's a good idea to consider travel time, training, and schedule predictability in addition to salary. Do not disclose personal information and internal data from the interview without permission, but keep it as a memo for your own decision.
