When looking for a degree program taught in English, you should check the language description in the course introduction and the actual curriculum. Study in Korea guides you to check the language requirements for each university and department. Whether you can apply based on English scores alone and whether you can complete all required classes in English are separate questions.
Read the curriculum
Check the language of instruction, graduation requirements, and lab and thesis writing for required and elective courses. Look at the latest timetable and admissions guidelines on the department website, but check whether the information has been confirmed for opening next semester. It is a good idea to ask your department whether you must take a Korean language course.
Living Assistance Verification
Ask about what language support is available in dormitory/academic counseling and administrative notices. Even if the classes are in English, Korean can be helpful in hospitals, banks, and local life. Before entering school, we suggest preparing for frequently used expressions such as greetings, address explanations, and schedule inquiries.
Preparing your application
Check accepted English tests and scores, exemption conditions, and when score validity will be determined. Don’t assume that simply because you “speak English well” will exempt you from providing proof. When choosing a major, it is a good idea to compare not only the language but also the content you want to learn and the guidance and support environment, and check whether they actually offer classes that are connected to your goals after graduation.
