When preparing for GKS, you must distinguish between the introduction of the scholarship system and the actual recruitment announcement. The Study in Korea scholarship bulletin board, checked on September 9, 2026, posted the 2026 GKS-G final results and notice of changes to the invitation issuance schedule. Do not mistake these results notices for new applicant recruitment announcements. Instead, you should look for the recruitment guidelines for the year and degree you are applying for.
Order of finding announcements
Decide whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student and check the application guidelines for the relevant year, attached documents, and correction notices. Do not assume that the reception desk, schedule, and universities to which you can apply are the same for the embassy screening and the university screening. You should also read any additional guidance provided by your home country's embassy or the university you are applying to.
Comparison of requirements
Compare qualifications such as nationality, academic background, grades, etc. with your proof and check the list of universities and departments to which you can apply. You should not assume that the documents submitted by successful applicants in the past or the department you chose are still accepted. Please follow the wording of the applicable recruitment guidelines for rules regarding duplicate applications and submission methods.
records management
Indicate the year and version in the downloaded file name and record changes when notices of corrections appear. For next year's schedule that you haven't yet confirmed, don't write the expected date as a confirmed date. Scholarship selection, university admission, and visa issuance each have their own necessary procedures, so it is important not to think that all preparations are complete with just one step.
