Language requirements for university admission vary by institution and department. Study in Korea distinguishes Korean-taught and English-taught degree programs and institution-specific conditions. There is no single TOPIK level that automatically qualifies every international applicant for admission. Check your intended program's admission guidelines for accepted tests and submission deadlines.
Check your test score report
TOPIK scores are valid for 2 years from the date of score announcement. Don't confuse test dates with grade release dates; check when the school determines validity. If you plan to take a test, calculate not only the registration date but also whether the results are announced before the document deadline.
Scope of Accreditation Questions
Find out in the application guidelines whether the course you are applying for recognizes grades such as PBT or IBT, and whether it allows proof of other languages or course completion. For explanations that a Korean language course certificate can replace TOPIK, you must check the conditions of each school. Please read the admission criteria and graduation criteria separately.
study plan
In addition to your target score, it is a good idea to prepare for the ability to listen to actual lectures and write assignments. Try dividing your plan into test preparation, reading major vocabulary, and practicing short presentations. Be careful not to submit self-diagnosis results without official transcripts as transcripts for admission, and if you have any questions, contact the department you are applying for and the admissions department with the exact test name.
