Just because pictures of oreums are beautiful, that doesn't mean you can always climb all oreums the same way. Check Jeju Island's Oreum guide and current notices for places you plan to visit for openings, trails and restrictions. Previously posted rest year or control information should be read for that period, and conversely, older opening reviews do not guarantee today's access.
What to look for when choosing
Check the starting point, trail length and slope, parking or public transportation access, restrooms, and return directions. Please choose according to the experience and physical strength of the person traveling with you. It's a good idea to plan to return before sunset, including an estimated photo shoot time and breaks.
Inspection before departure
Re-read weather and site control notices and adjust your itinerary if slippery or strong winds are expected. Stay on permitted trails and follow signs for private or protected areas. Do not climb over fences or enter restricted areas to take photos.

Be sure to write down the exact name of the location and provide official and accessible entrances and directions when sharing the location.
