Foreign language commentary can help you understand the exhibit and connect with Korean expressions. Please check the supported languages and participation methods in the National Museum of Korea’s regular commentary guide. We recommend that you do not use reviews from past visits or timetables from other months as your current itinerary, but rather plan based on guidance and change notices for the dates you plan to visit.
Check before booking
Write down the commentary language, target exhibit, start time, gathering location, and time required. Check whether advance application is required and whether participation methods are different for individuals and groups. If your group speaks different languages, it is a good idea to first discuss whether the program is something everyone can understand.
Ready to Participate
If you arrive at the museum's main entrance right before the start, you may not have enough time to get to the meeting point. Please arrive with plenty of time to spare, including time for admission and locker use. It will be easier to follow the explanation if you prepare one or two questions you want to hear and look at basic exhibition-related vocabulary in advance.
Post-narration activities
Look again at the work that impressed you the most and take notes, distinguishing between what you heard in the guide and your own feelings. For historical information that you are uncertain about, please check the official work description. When recording or filming, you must first ask for permission and consider consent when revealing other participants' faces and voices. If an event is canceled, make alternative arrangements to use official notices and exhibition descriptions, and do not assume that a particular commentary will be provided every day.
